YIHOO NOR152

Short Description:

Chemical name:Ethanol, 2-amino, reaction products with cyclohexane and peroxidized N-butyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinamine-2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine reaction products
CAS number:191743-75-6
Appearance:Off-white powder
Application:

Migration of the light stabilizer leads to depletion and subsequent degradation of the coating. Thisphenomenon is particularly obvious on plastic coatings, but it can also occur on varnishes or “wet on wet” coatings used for primers. By means of primary hydroxyl, NOR 152 can bind to chemical components in many coatings, such as melamine and isocyanate crosslinkers, fixing them in the paint and thus preventing migration. NOR 152 has excellent compatibility and long performance in polar, highly cross-linked coating systems where traditional hindered amine radical catchers may not be compatible. These coatings include polyester or acrylic carbamate, as well as highly cross-linked polyester or acrylic melamine systems. Due to its low alkaline properties, NOR 152 is also effective in thermosetting systems, such as traditional acid-catalyzed automotive and coil coatings, as well as thermoplastic acrylics and oxy-dried alkyd resins used in industrial/decorative paints and varnishes.

The optimal dosage of NOR 152 to achieve the desired effect should be selected according to the experimental results. The following dosage is based on resin solid content:Paint system: based on 1-2% of resin solids. In varnishes or color paints that are prone to fading or discoloration or on photosensitive substrates, very good results can be obtained by matching 1-3% UV absorbers. The pure solid product is added to the polyhydroxyl part of a two-component polyurethane resin or to a one-component coating. Mix well before use. This product can be pre-dissolved in a solvent and then added to the coating formulation.
